Grilled Honey-Soy Chicken

  • cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • teaspoon red-pepper flakes
  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • teaspoon salt


  1. In a shallow baking dish, combine soy sauce, honey, miso, garlic, oil, and red-pepper flakes. Add chicken, turn to coat, cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  2. Preheat grill to medium.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade. Season chicken with salt. Discard marinade.
  4. Grill chicken 10 minutes, turning once, and cook 8 minutes longer or until cooked through.
