Summer 2011 Beauty Trends: Pretty-In-Pink Makeup

Kate Bosworth shows us how to wear this uber-girly color!
Kate Bosworth rocks this season's ubiquitous pink trend -- rosy cheeks and berry-pink lips -- at the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival's "Life Happens" Premiere. Topping off her look is a hot-pink Richard Nicoll Resort 2012 frock.

Can a girl O.D. on pink? Not this summer, it seems! If anything, make this uber-girly color a must-have in your makeup bag. Pink-toned makeup adds a warm flush to summer's dewy skin for that fresh, outdoorsy glow. (Bonus: It also goes perfectly with this season's pretty, neon-bright dresses.)

Love Bosworth's flushed, California glow? Here's how to get the look:

To bring out your own dewy finish, skip the heavy foundation and use a sheer tinted moisturizer instead. You'll get just enough coverage to even out your skintone without taking away your natural glow. Set with powder just along your T-zone.

Opt for a rose pink blush for that pretty flush. (Powder blush stays on better in the summertime heat.) Smile to find the apples of your cheeks then swirl color onto your cheekbones using a brush.

Apply a moisturizing lip balm to prime your lips. For a high-shine pout a la Bosworth, choose a berry-hued lipstick with a sheer, glossy texture.

Keep eye makeup minimal for a natural, barely made-up look. Line eyes with a pencil; define lashes with a lengthening mascara and go through with a lash comb.
